This sight requires no modification to your rifle and is intended to be used in conjunction with the existing rear barrel sight. Simply flip it up for longer shots or better sight definition.
- The base is slotted to allow for differences in tang screw location and is slightly curved so as to lay flat on your curved tang.
- Windage is adjustable by turning the hinge screw.
- Elevation is adjustable by moving the aperture up or down on the staff.
- The aperture disc has been blackened to reduce sun glare. The standard aperture diameter is .070" and can be made to your specification up to 0.110".
- The sight may be mounted using your existing tang screw, however if your trigger plate is threaded 8-32, an optional flat headed lock bolt is available and works much better. It will be necessary for you to cut it to the proper length.
Please note: Some guns including Thompson Center and Traditions use a metric tang screw. Let me know if ordering for one of these so the sight base can be correctly sized and omit the unneeded 8/32 screw.
